What we do at Leaves on a Stream

Providing holistic, nonclinical support that fosters emotional balance, self-awareness, and connection to self, to others, and to the natural world.

My mental wellness coaching offers a grounded, mindful space for individuals seeking greater balance, clarity, and emotional resilience. Drawing from mindfulness, nature-based practices, and compassionate awareness, sessions invite you to slow down, reconnect with your inner landscape, and explore what supports your well-being in daily life.

Together, we focus on present-moment awareness, self-regulation, and growth—helping you cultivate skills to manage stress, improve relationships, and deepen your sense of connection. Coaching is educational and experiential rather than clinical; it is not therapy and does not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. If therapeutic support becomes appropriate, I can provide referrals to licensed professionals.

Each session is an opportunity to pause, breathe, and return to your natural capacity for balance and healing.

Shinrin-Yoku, or “forest bathing,” is a guided mindfulness experience that invites you to slow down and connect with nature through the senses. Rooted in Japanese tradition, this practice is not about hiking or exercise—it’s about being, not doing. During a session, you’ll be gently guided through a series of invitations designed to deepen your awareness, calm the nervous system, and foster a sense of peace and belonging within the natural world.

Research shows that spending intentional, mindful time in nature can reduce stress, boost mood, enhance focus, and support overall well-being. Each walk is unique to the landscape and the season, offering space to listen, breathe, and simply be present.

Shinrin-Yoku is open to all experience levels and requires no special skills—just a willingness to slow down and notice the world around you in a new way.

As a Humanist Chaplain, I offer compassionate, nonjudgmental support to individuals and groups seeking meaning, connection, and well-being outside of a religious framework. My approach is grounded in respect for human dignity, shared humanity, and the belief that we all have the capacity to create purpose and belonging in our lives.

Through reflective conversation, presence, and mindfulness-based guidance, I help clients navigate life transitions, grief, ethical questions, and moments of uncertainty with clarity and care. This work honors each person’s unique story and values while fostering deeper connection—to self, to others, and to the world we share.

Humanist chaplaincy is open to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. It is not a religious service but a supportive partnership that helps you live with authenticity, compassion, and a greater sense of wholeness.
